How to track form submissions, call clicks, and CTA clicks properly

If you do not track the actions that lead to revenue, you are guessing which pages work and which ones leak demand.

Written for Namibia-based businesses in Windhoek and beyond.

Analytics is most useful when it measures intent, not just pageviews. A site can attract traffic and still fail commercially if nobody tracks whether visitors actually take the next step.

For service businesses, the most important events are usually form submissions, phone clicks, WhatsApp clicks if relevant, and primary CTA interactions. Those events tell you whether the page is moving someone closer to an enquiry.

The tracking setup should be simple enough to trust. Every major action should have one event name. Every conversion path should map to a clear business outcome. If the team cannot explain what an event means, the event is probably too vague.

Once the right actions are tracked, the site stops being a guessing game. You can compare pages, spot drop-offs, and see whether changes improved enquiries or just made the design look nicer.
